Capcom, Bandai Namco, The Pokémon Company, and PlayStation — represented by partners — will headline the exhibitor lineup at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026, set for October 29 to November 1 at Bangkok's Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Nintendo and Xbox also appear through partner booths. The event's business area will feature exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, with national pavilions confirmed for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and Thailand.

Who else is exhibiting?

Additional named exhibitors include 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, and Lenovo. Sony notably skipped its own booth at Cologne's Gamescom last month — a contrast to Nintendo and Xbox at the European edition — yet PlayStation appears via partners at the Asian spinoff.

The event is jointly organised by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station. Show No Limit CEO Pongsuk Hiranprueck framed the Thai edition's scale as evidence of regional influence.

"Last year's success, with over 200,000 attendees, is clear proof that Thailand is not merely a consumer market, but a key driving force of culture and the creative economy at the Asian level," Hiranprueck said.

Last year's inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, with the business area drawing 5,590 professionals from 81 countries.

What does the business area offer?

The business area runs October 29 to 30 and features more than 70 speakers across four stages, drawn from over 20 countries. Programming includes pitch and reverse pitching competitions, with Xsolla sponsoring the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience" segment aimed at developers, publishers, and investors.

Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager of Asia-Pacific at Koelnmesse, said the 2026 edition prioritises international reach and indie support.

"This year, we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality, bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business area with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion by Thailand's Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)," Ramajillu said.

The Thailand Pavilion, run jointly with depa and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA), anchors indie support at the show.

Who are the headline speakers?

Id Software co-founder John Romero delivers the keynote "Why We Still Make Games" and receives this year's lifetime achievement award. Other confirmed speakers include Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart from AdHoc Studio, Zhen Fang (Roblox VP and head of international), Jane Lau (Tencent head of production), Emilio Coppola (Godot executive director), and Yoan Fanise (DigixArt creative director and founder).

The speaker mix pairs engine leadership (Coppola at Godot) with platform leadership (Fang at Roblox) and live-service production (Lau at Tencent) — a configuration aimed at studios weighing publishing, middleware, and platform choices in Southeast Asia.

What should studios watch?

The expanded Thailand Pavilion and depa/TGA backing signal continued public-sector investment in Thai game development, an under-reported segment of Asia's pipeline. Watch for deal flow emerging from the Invest Circle, where Xsolla's sponsorship suggests payment infrastructure is core to the matchmaking thesis the organisers are pitching to publishers.
