Always Supporting the Games Community (ASGC) says it has recorded more than 5,400 games-industry job placements since founder Amir Satvat started the community in 2022. ASGC published the milestone figures in a LinkedIn post marking its fourth anniversary.

The community now counts more than 700,000 monthly active users and seven million lifetime content viewers. In the post, Satvat describes ASGC as the largest support community in the video games industry. Those totals establish the scale of ASGC's own operation, but the post does not compare it with other communities.

Satvat founded ASGC in 2022 as a one-person effort to support people working in games. His original goal was to help 100 people find work and have one in 10 members say the community had made a meaningful difference in their lives.

Four years later, six in 10 polled members say ASGC has significantly helped them. The announcement gives no sample size or methodology for that poll, and it does not define job placements or split the 5,400-plus total by role, seniority, employer or country.

For studios, the placement figure signals direct hiring activity without supplying a placement rate against the community's much larger audience. ASGC presents the number as a cumulative total over its first four years, while audience reach remains visible through the separate monthly and lifetime-viewer figures.

What does this change for developers and studios?

ASGC says it has recorded 110,000 coaching chats and reviews and answered tens of thousands of member messages. The community offers more than 60 free resources, including a jobs workbook used by 15,000 people each week. For developers, that means continuing career support with weekly reach, rather than a one-time job-placement event.

For job seekers, the workbook's 15,000 weekly users provide the clearest measure of ongoing engagement with a practical tool. The coaching and message volumes show that ASGC also handles continuing member contact, rather than only distributing content.

More than 150 support posts have addressed games organizations facing layoffs. For studios and teams managing redundancies, those posts provide a channel for sharing support and information with the wider community. The announcement does not state how many posts received replies or produced placements.

ASGC has also provided 5,124 event passes across 78 events, backed by 119 donors. The community raised $30,000 for charity, and its ASGC Angels initiative contributed $25,000 to help keep resources free. Those figures map to four operating lanes: member support, event access, charitable giving and funding for free resources.

The event-pass total gives members access to 78 industry events, although ASGC does not publish redemption figures. Similarly, the announcement does not break down what those 110,000 coaching chats and reviews covered. The operational scale is clear; the outcome mix is not.

“As we enter year 5, our team will keep doing all we do,” Satvat said. He added: “And with ASGC Heroes, we'll increasingly shine a light on the many others doing good in games. ASGC cannot solve these problems alone. We need everybody doing more.”

The next market signal to watch is whether ASGC's 700,000 monthly active audience keeps expanding through year five as Heroes coverage broadens and the organization builds on the job-placement activity it reported for its first four years.
